We live in a world full of misunderstanding and confusion. As the science has advanced we now know that our Earth is not the only the only world. There is an ever expanding universe of which our Earth has zero significance. Our Earth is just like a particle of mist in a clear blue sky. But for us Earth is everything, it is a place where we live, we love, we know the meaning of life, but the question is, is earth the only planet where life exist? There are several galaxies billions of light years away even our milky way is quite big and we haven’t explored it enough to say there’s no other spot in the milky way where life can possibly exist. For all we know for now is, Earth is the only planet in the solar system on which life exists.
The closest galaxy to our Milky way galaxy is the Andromeda galaxy which is 2.53 million light years away from us! In the clear night we can spot the Andromeda galaxy, the light coming from it is 2.53 million years old literally the time when dinosaurs walked the earth! The point is, if the galaxy which is so far that light takes such a long time to reach it, is it ever possible for us to go to that galaxy and discover lives? Of course it’s not. Even if we invent a spaceship which travels with the speed of light, which is the fastest speed which can be attained, if we follow the Einstein’s theory, even then it will take us 2.53 million years. The problem here is the human lifespan is too small to experience these things. But there was an another aspect to it. Maybe as much interested as we are in finding them, they might be similarly interested as well in finding us. That may give us the solution to this problem given that the lifespan is comparatively larger than us. But there can be one more solution, which is if we find the shortcut route to another galaxy or of far universe. Although it seems frictional but such a shortcut may exist.
We are in many ways the ruler of our earth which is our world. We control the elements of this earth as our will. Consciously are subconsciously we have done things to this earth which has completely changed the way it was before. We have favoured the growth of those plant breeds which have more nutritious value and are good to taste then the ones which do not. The result being plants evolved in such a way that they get specialised in certain features which we favour. Darwin’s theory of evolution supports our conclusion.
Maybe someday we will discover another form of life existing in a very different part of this universe but definitely it’s not going to be very soon, it will take several years for us. But our scientific knowledge and discoveries and the want to know more gives us a promising conclusion. Probably none of us existing right now will see a world like that.
Several thousand years from now our earth will die but there will be more civilizations another new words and it will be forgotten that there was once a wonderful place in this universe called Earth.
